Rumi Sema Ceremony Entry Ticket in Konya

About this activity

You will attend an authentic Mevlevi Sema Ceremony performed by the Mevlevi Ayinleri Community at the Irfan Civilization Research Center in Konya. The ceremony features rhythmic music and devotional whirling, symbolizing spiritual awakening and the soul’s journey toward divine love.

As the performance unfolds, you will gain insight into the meaning of Sema within Mevlevi tradition, where movement, sound, and silence come together as a form of voluntary worship. The experience reflects centuries-old practices inspired by Hazrat-i Mevlana and his spiritual teachings.

The ceremony takes place inside a neo-classical semahane, thoughtfully designed in the style of traditional Mevlevi lodges. The serene setting enhances the atmosphere, offering a peaceful and contemplative cultural experience.
