On days when the Former Chikurin-in Temple is closed, you will visit Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine on Mount Hiei, encountering spiritual monkey statues in this ancient shrine and offering prayers for peace of mind. As dusk approaches, head straight to Shirahige Shrine on Lake Biwa, where the torii gate on the lake frames a stunning sunset, perfect for capturing memorable photos!
