Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine: Walking through the approach lined with 97 stone lanterns, it feels like stepping into the fantastical world of "Hotarubi no Mori e"; the moss-covered ancient stone steps and deep, tranquil cedar forest imbue this mountain shrine with a mysterious spiritual aura. Mount Aso Crater: Mount Aso is one of Japan's most active volcanoes. You can experience the majestic power of the Nakadake crater up close, where the greenish-blue volcanic lake intertwines with continuously rising white smoke. Standing at the observation deck, it feels as if you can hear the Earth breathing (Mount Aso has recently been closed due to a helicopter accident, and the itinerary will be changed to Roadside Station Aso Boukyou Kugino. Kusasenri: A vast grassland at the northern foot of Mount Eboshi, with a rain-fed pond quietly nestled in the center of a basin about 1 km in diameter.
