California, United States
Tours

About this activity
This guided tour takes a relaxed pace, allowing you to fully experience Muir Woods, the nearest giant redwood forest to San Francisco. Begin your journey in San Francisco and cross the 1.7-mile Golden Gate Bridge on your way to this national monument dedicated to giant Coast Redwoods.
Enjoy 1.5 hours of free time to explore this natural treasure, set aside by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1908. Friendly park rangers are available to answer questions, and there are numerous trails to choose from, each offering views of California’s towering redwoods, some over 250 feet tall. One favorite trail meanders along the shaded Redwood Creek, home to the forest’s tallest trees.
